Our Response to COVID-19
Updated 8/16/22

In an effort to help keep our dancers and staff healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic, Xpressions Dance Center has implemented the following rules and regulations in accordance with the most recent guidelines from our Governor and recommendations of the Virginia Department of Health and the Center for Disease Control.  We are asking all members of the XDC family to read the following very carefully.

Before coming to the studio, please self-screen by asking the following questions (set forth by the Virginia Dept of Health):

  • YES or NO, are you currently experiencing any of the following symptoms?

  1. A new fever (100.4º or higher) or a sense of having a fever

  2. A new cough that you cannot attribute to another health condition

  3. New shortness of breath or difficulty breathing that you cannot attribute to another health condition

  4. New chills that you cannot attribute to another health condition

  5. A new sore throat that you cannot attribute to another health condition

  6. New muscle aches (myalgia) that you cannot attribute to another health condition, or that may have been caused by a specific activity (such as physical exercise)

  7. A new loss of taste or smell

  • Have you had a positive test for the virus that causes COVID-19 disease within the past 5 days?

If the answer to any of these questions is YES, we ask that your dancer remain at home.  Please call the studio at (540)416-1094 or email us at xpressionsdanceinfo@gmail.com to alert us of any absences.

  • In accordance with the guidelines set forth by the governor, social distancing and occupancy restrictions have been lifted.

  • The cubbies in the lobby are open and can be used for dance bag storage during classes.

  • Each dancer will continue to receive hand sanitizer from their instructor prior to entering the dance room.

  • Dancers must be in proper dress code for each class.  A detailed dress code can be found on the CLASSES page of this website.  Please make sure their hair is secured back out of their face prior to coming to class.  (Ballet classes require a ballet bun.)  Please make sure all ballet slipper strings are cut (about an inch) to be able to tuck into their shoes.

  • At this time, our water fountains are on and a bottle filler is available.  Dancers are still encouraged to bring a resealable water bottle with them.  Only clear water is permitted in the dance rooms.  Please speak to younger dancers about waiting until the instructor tells them to get their water.

  • The studio will continue to be properly disinfected every day.  Instructors will be continuing to sanitize all surface areas inside the dance rooms.
